Going gluten free has sprung up relatively recently as a food choice, and at a glance has all the appearances of just another fad. At least that's what I thought until I decided to go ahead and give it a try, and see what all the fuss was about. I've now been gluten free for a year, and I have never felt better. I wish I had known about it years ago, but the fact that I know about it now and am eating that way is good enough for me.

This book is a great resource on the gluten free lifestyle. If you aren't sure what it's all about, or just would like to learn more, this book is the one that you need to get. The author has masterfully pieced together a comprehensive guide on Gluten Free, and I learned more from this book than all of my gluten free Google excursions put together. So what is gluten free? To start off, you need to know what gluten is! Gluten is a protein that is found in many grains - it is what binds the different parts of the grain together and gives it the elasticity that makes dough, well, doughy! On the face of it, it doesn't seem like there should anything inherently wrong with that, I mean, it's just one component of a healthy food that doesn't have any adverse effect on our bodies, right? Wrong! Gluten prevents your body from absorbing all minerals in the food that you eat, turns into fat way too easily, causes gut inflammation, and can even support building cancer cells! This book establishes in detail, with illustrations to go along with it, why gluten is not a good thing for your body.

After educating you on gluten and why it's not a good thing to have in your tummy, the author helpfully and effectively describes how and what to do to establish a gluten free diet for yourself. From identifying gluten free foods to making them yourself, and adapting to the lifestyle changes that go along with it, it is all here in this book. Particularly helpful to me was the author breaking down the story of her family, and how gluten played a role in the ill health of family members. As a parent myself, I was able to identify with this and see that going gluten free doesn't have to be just some hip new fad, it really can and does make a difference in the health of you and the ones that you love. Definitely pick this up, it's a great value and a highly informative and satisfying read.

Gluten Free Could Help! eBook Anna Davidson Dr CE Cibelli Tom Smith Reviews

With so much Information and so many articles written, it was wonderful to finally read a book on the personal experience of the author. As a Mother, she gives us the trials and tribulations of watching over her children as they suffered, and as a wife watching her husband battle celiac disease, add to this her own trials. The valuable experience that she brings to the public is far greater than the medical books available, she has been in the middle of the fight, and has seen first hand the results of a challenging and debilitating situation. Along with her determination, discovery, and common sense she sheds light on the darkness of Gluten
I have been eliminating gluten from my diet more and more - but this book has made me want to go gluten free completely. I am sick of feeling tired all the time and with random aces and pains - looking forward to seeing if it has an effect. Thank you for taking the time to write this.
The book gives lots of insight into potential consequences of gluten consumption but it is not well written or edited. I also don't know the validity of some of the claims made or the source of the information. For one, it states things like cystic fibrosis is a possible effect of gluten consumption but cystic fibrosis is a genetically inherited disease. Can gluten cause mutations in one's genome?
This isn't just another gluten free cookbook, but instead the personal journey from childhood to present day of a person afflicted with an incredibly unpleasant condition, that is now thankfully easily diagnosed. The author writes in an informative but easy to read style, and covers all you could ever need to know about gluten and its effects, the worldwide attitudes towards it, the development of wheat and the steps you can take to feel better, if you suffer from the same intolerance.
I have been dabbling in gluten free products and various recipes for a number of years now only because I felt that processed food were no good for my health. I had no idea just how harmful gluten can be to the body until I read "Gluten free to a better health".

In the book Anna explains the suffering she went through and all the health issues she had, until she changed her diet to gluten free. It was interesting to hear how the medical profession lacked knowledge in diagnosing her for being gluten intolerant and how Anna had to search for her own answers by trial and error with her diet.

This book opened my eyes to how toxic gluten really is to our bodies and how various conditions, could actually be a result from eating foods that contain high levels of gluten. You might be surprised at what these conditions, health issues, diseases or even mood swings are. Anna give a whole list of ailments that could be directly related to gluten.

If you want to know how toxic gluten really is and how one women battled to find the answers to better health, then this book could provide you with those answers too.
I have recently gone gluten free and it has truly been a life changing decision.
No need to delve into the medical details but needless to say I was not a healthy specimen and had multiple headache, stomach and related issues.
Starting a Gluten free diet has changed all of that in a remarkable 180 degree turn.
I know there are many critics out there about the Gluten free movement but thanks to books such as this one which detail our personal journeys and reflection I feel we can bring more attention to Celiac and Gluten sensitivities. I support this Author and her great work and enjoyed the book. Thank you for sharing your journey.
